Richard replied to Hannah goslin's discussion Christmas tree
"There are some people who have a stall outside Waitrose who sell books, scarves, cards etc who sell real trees every year. I am not sure if they are selling them just yet but it's worth keeping an eye out and I don't think they are too…"

Does anyone know of a trustworthy 'thorough' cleaner for a flat in GAH?

They need to be diligent, like cleaning and happy to come once a week.

Any suggestions or help much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jo

I use Noemi Burlacu.

I have only been using her a month, but I am very impressed indeed. Extremely thorough - by way of example obviously she cleaned the kitchen, but discovered a few days later that she had also taken out a grotty pan that I store in the bottom of the oven and given that a clean too.

She was sent to me via Maid2Clean (disadvantage - you have to pay a commision to the agency/advantage - they have full insurance and have fully vetted all the cleaners). It ends up about £11/hr - £7.50 to the cleaner and then £3 or £3.50 to the agency, depending how many hours you have.

I have her once a week, 2hrs cleaning 1 hr ironing.

I will PM you her details.
I also hear good things about Nelly - aneliaduneva@aol.co.uk - who works for several people at the Barbican - but ultimately she wasn't available on the day I wanted.
Dear Lucy,
Thank you for your suggestions. If anyone else has suggestions of a reliable cleaner (Basterfield House) they would be most welcome!

Very best
