Event Description

Is it time for a spring clean? If you have items that you no longer want but still have plenty of life in them - then donate them to the City’s Give and Take Day

When: Saturday 18th January from 10.00 - 15.00 

 Where: GL Community Hall 

Give and Take is a great opportunity to have a clear-out and make sure that unwanted items are reused, recycled or disposed of responsibly. Donated items are available for fellow residents to take, all for free! 

You will be able to donate items between 10.00 and 12 noon and take donated items between 13.00 and 15.00. 

Please bring items such as: 

Kitchenware, soft furnishings e.g. cushions, curtains etc., clothing, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac and small electrical items such as: kettles, toasters, cameras, phones, hair dryers, computer and audio equipment. 

Anything that isn’t taken will be given to charities or posted on the Freecycle website, where unwanted items are given away for free. 

Any small electrical items brought along that do not work will be recycled. 

Residents of the Golden Lane Estate can pre-book a FREE bulky waste collection via the City of London Contact Centre for Saturday 18th January 2014 only. Please call the Contact Centre on 020 7606 3110 to book your collection of large bulky items e.g. furniture. Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.
