has anyone recommendations of good local dry cleaners? I have just had a second lot of cleaning ruined by the place under Crescent House.

My friend suggested the one next to the Barbican Station. Try it.
I haven't used the dry cleaners under Crescent House for many, many years because of this very thing. I think they are the same owners now as they were then. I have boycotted them for years because of their attitude at the time, they took no responsibility for what they had done.

I think the dry cleaner near the Barbican tube station is expensive, certainly was when I used them some time ago because they could do a garment in 24 hours. I use the dry cleaner on Whitecross St. almost opposite the fish and chip shop and find they are Ok, although I haven't taken any of my precious garments in there, i.e cashmere.
The one in Whitecross Street has been very good over the years although most of my clothes are easily replaceable if something went seriously wrong.
