Electric meter reading

Would anyone know what is going on with the meter readings on the estate? a form was circulated so the staff would read the meters every month, but nothing seems to have happened. Would anyone have a key to the meter cupboard so I could take a reading? Thanks.See More

Dear Friends of Fortune Street Park,

Saturday July 2nd will be our 15th Annual Community Fun Day in Fortune Street Park.
It's a fantastic day and every year it becomes more and more popular. Possibly they come because its organised by such good looking people… seriously!

Anyway apologies but I have hijacked the mailing list to ask for your support towards this years park Fun Day for our local community. We all know how much the park matters to everyone.

As you know we ask for voluntary contributions on the day. We hold a raffle on the day to raise money, taking the sting out of the fun-day costs. This year it is costing approx £5700. We are trying a few new things aimed at older kids this year we hope it’s a success. To be frank we are all a bit too busy raising families and holding down full time jobs, to do that extra fundraising we need and frequently beat ourselves up about it . We have a generous grant from Islington Councillors which we could not survive without.

I have got a few great raffle prizes but may I ask if you could kindly help get some more by any means of your choice? By speaking to local companies or your employer or any contacts you may have.
blagging, convincing, flirting, inquiring, beseeching, hustling…! These methods have been known to work, but please not all at the same time!

If we can make the raffle irresistible we could raise some decent money. It doesn’t have to be ridiculously expensive, but winning things is a powerful thing it raises hope and feels good and it feels great seeing happy people.

All the money always goes straight back into the fun day. Next year may have to be a scaled down event if we are not successful in fundraising.

We would really appreciate any help with this. Please contact me with your successes.

If you would like a letterhead with information on who we are and why we do the fun day please ask I can send it to you.

Thank you very much if you can help and please come along in the day.
