The JSNA is the process by which local authorities and primary care trusts assess and document the future health care and well being needs of the local population. The draft 2009-2010 document is out for consultation:

Click/cut and paste this link to read it www.cityandhackney.nhs.uk/consultations, to attend a consultation meeting on Friday 25 September 2009 and fill in a short online questionnaire, with the chance of winning £50 M&S vouchers.

Also see www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/jsna for more information about health in the City and last year’s JSNA document.

What does JSNA stand for?
Hello - JSNA stands for Joint Strategic Needs Assessment - a joint assessment of the health care and wellbeing needs of residents and workers in the City undertaken by the City & Hackney NHS Primary Care Trust and the City of London Corporation.
Dear Roland

Thank you for your response.

The JSNA is an important document that will help people who commission, run and use health services to have a better understanding of the health needs of City residents. I recognise that not everybody will want to take part but we want City residents and workers who are interested in health issues to have the opportunity to get involved.

I accept that the information about the event on 25 September should have been on the NHS Hackney and City web site and this has now been sorted out - please see www.cityandhackney.nhs.uk/consultations

Best wishes

Neil
