Good Evening All,
Having attended the last GLERA meeting, I brought up the topic of Noise Nuisance and what can us who live on the Estate do about it!
I’m sure most folk are affected by late night music, conversations on loud speakers in cars, group gatherings, cars/vans parked with engines running….the list goes on. Judging by the response at the meeting, there were a fair few that agreed the Noise Disturbance’s are escalating, but at the same time it shouldn’t be relied upon that the same residents should have to tackle this alone. There is an element of hostility which residents shouldn’t have to endure for the sake of keeping the peace.

I have spoken with Jacqueline Swanson and exchanged emails regarding this matter, and we’re in the process of organising a meeting, and to invite the Estate Manager, to tackle this issue. Any anti social behaviour, which is a constant isn’t conducive to our well being and mental health, which is why I ask you to report anything which is of anti social behaviour. Whether it be to inform the Estate Office, or write down what’s happened, along with the time and date. The more folk who report anti social behaviour, it makes the case stronger for the City of London to act upon this. We can’t control all noise, that’s like asking for the moon, but at certain times theres disturbance’s we shouldn’t have to endure. On my part I have suggestions to put forward, which I’m hoping will be acted upon. In the next few weeks there will be an update regarding the meeting so please keep a look out, and again if you hear/witness anything either report to the Estate office, which should be logged, or write it down. Many thanks for your time.
