Paid Panel Member Opportunity - Imagine Fund - Deadline 17th October

For More information contact the below and not me please. The panels are a mix of City Residents, City Workers, Students etc

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are now recruiting for the Imagine Panel 23/24!

We are looking for up to 8 members to join us in decision-making for our local community fund, The Imagine Fund which is re-opening in December 2023.

The Imagine Fund is a participatory grant-making scheme, focused on shifting power away from large institutions such as the Barbican Centre and back into the hands of the local community. For this fund, community members are the key decision makers. They consult on the selection criteria for the fund, as well as making the call about who gets the funding.

The fund aims to support local people and Unincorporated Associations in the City of London to create projects that will bring people together, kickstart a new idea or have a go at something they’ve always wanted to try.

If you’re interested in grant-giving, want to make in impact in your local area, and connect with others locally this opportunity is for you!

You don’t have to be an artist or cultural practitioner, but just have a passion for social change. We’ll be doing some really exciting training this year for the panel around conflict resolution, democratic decision making and anti-oppression from a transformative justice approach.

Our values for the Imagine Panel are cantered around:

  • Anti Oppression
  • Radical Generosity
  • Community Care
  • Prioritising Growth

This is a paid opportunity.

To be eligible you must:

  • Live, work or study in the City of London (The Square Mile, not Greater London
  • Be aged 18+
  • Have a UK bank account (so we can pay you)
  • Please download the application guidelines HERE before submitting your Expression of Interest form.

Deadline: Tuesday 17th October, 12pm.

If you have access requirements and need support submitting an Expression of Interest form, or for any other questions please get in touch with us at community@barbican.org.uk.

I would be very grateful if you could share amongst your networks and communities that you work with.
