You can't as it contravenes the listing of the estate. You can however connect to the digital signal for the same services.
Hello Jale, Your flat should already be fitted with a digital socket comprising digital t.v, Dab radio and satellite. However, subscription to Sky is by private arrangement between the resident and Sky.

Hi thanks for the replies. I got Sky connected a few weeks ago but apparently the communal setup that we have needs updating, so far sky signal is being unreliable and sky services is being limited which makes having and paying for SKY+ practically pointless. As you can't record something while watching something else. The system that we have is 10 years old and needs updating. So I'd be very keen to know if anyone else is effected by it and if anything could be done to adjust the system to bring it up to date. Regards Jale

Hi Tony,

I can so relate to your frustration. Yes for me it was a year ago, so I cancelled my contract asap. I didn't get my installation money back but the rest of the payments I made to Sky has been refunded in fact if I remember correctly they charged me for the days I had SKY till the cancellation despite it wasn't working fully. I wanted to get Virgin but at the time fibreoptic hadn't reach to this area so it wasn't possible. In the end I got BTvision and it was very easy to install and very good in many ways. Like Virgin it's got lots of programmes on demand as well as films. With an extra cost you can get SKY sport and ESPN. So if you're still in your 14 day cancellation period I recomend you to consider it.

I hope it helps.

Jale
