A model estate - architectural model maker creates a mirrored version of Basterfield House

Architectural modelmaker Maz Weineck has created a model of Basterfield House as a fundraiser for charity Article 25. Maz says, 'This year's theme for humanitarian architecture charity Article 25's 10x10 auction is reflections. I wanted to have some fun with the theme and experiment with using mirror within my art. I decided to use Basterfield House as inspiration after going on a tour of the Golden Lane estate and being shown one the building’s flats as part of Open house festival. I like the idea of making artwork celebrating iconic architecture that is also architecture that means a lot to people. Whilst walking around the estate it was clear how much of a community there was there and how important the development was for the residents. It felt fitting to use my craft skills to make this art because a wonderful thing I discovered at the community centre is…See More

Save Bernard Morgan House

Hi everyone,

I lived in Crescent House until last year and I really enjoyed my time there so now that I'm looking to buy a flat I would be really interested in any available flats on the 3rd floor of the same building.

If anyone is aware of any flats for sale on the top floor of Crescent House please feel free to contact me.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Hello.  I live on the 3rd floor of Crescent House, in a flat at one end of the block.  I currently have a bench and some plants by my wall.   I intend to sell my flat and move away, but have put it on hold temporarily due to me going through a bereavement over the recent loss of my partner. So, yes, I will be interested in selling when I feel a bit better, hopefully in the near future.   Please feel free ask for my details if you wish.  Kind regards.

Hi Maria and Happy Easter!

Oh yes I think I remember you Maria. Is your flat is the last on the north side with the lovely plants outside?

We had said hello sometimes on the corridor, I believe you have a cute little dog if I remember well.

I'm so sorry to hear for your loss Maria, it must be very difficult. My condolences, I really hope you feel better soon.

We can talk whenever you feel better, there is no rush at all, just take your time to go through bereavement at your pace. I can give you my number to talk or we can meet in person as well sometime as I'm not living that far at the moment.

Kind regards,

Vasileios

Hi Vasileios. Yes, that is correct.  I have a little dog Poppy.  Thank you for your condolences.  I shall send you a friends request so we can exchange phone numbers at some time.  How kind you are to be so understanding.

It is very much appreciated.

Maria.
