Projection installation proposal for Golden Lane Estate

Hello

I'm Hayley Cotton, a local designer that would like to create a projection installation on the Estate for UNESCO Science Day and I would love to hear your feedback.

Item 2: Presentation by Haley Cotton

  • A local resident, Hayley Cotton, gave a presentation about a projection mapping installation.
  • The idea is to turn the drums on the podium area into an observatory for one day - a moving sky projection.
  • In a possible collaboration with the science museum, it would be a one off event to get people involved in science and technology.
  • Queries were emphasised around access to the garages as they would need to be closed off and in particular for those that need to gain access to their cars for either, say, working or those with disabilities. A suggestion was made that alternative parking could be found.
  • There is also the concern regarding the level of filming that already takes place on the Estate and how this would be deemed by residents.

Thanks Merry Monk

Each individual skylight offers a unique view of the sky / aurora at a pedestrian level too :0)

Looks interesting. This section of the estate is unloved and would benefit from an installation that drew attention Timor’s design.
