Thank you for this.  Have signed.  I hope everyone who sees this also does so.

Thank you! Please spread the word - send the link to friends and family, neighbours, work colleagues - anyone that you know who would care about this.

The proposal needs to be redesigned as demanded in the petition/letter.  Is the petition closed? I could not find any way to sign it on the page to which one is directed.  Martha

Charles you absolutely right, many of my neighbours feel exactly the same.

The Islington Gazette wishes to meet up with you, and other representatives, they want to do an article this week. They are particular interested in social housing being farmed off to Islington, height issues, and Alderpersons/Councillors views.

Please email the full history of the site, and contact Mr Gelder to arrange a meeting:

Thank you. I am on it like a car bonnet :) Can you send me your email address - I will copy you in on my emails to them.

Thanks for all the great work!

Can I suggest trying to get in touch with the 20th Century Society? The below may be of some help...

Elain Harwood may be an ideal person to approach. She often runs events for the society (email: Elain.Harwood@historicengland.org.uk or twitter: @Elain540) and has written a book on Golden Lane Architects Chamberlin Powell & Bon

Barnabus Calder is an expert on brutalism involved with the society and worth an approach (email: Barnabas.Calder@liverpool.ac.uk or twitter: @brutalconcrete)

Paul

And maybe consider asking the Barbican Residents Association for written support.

Thanks, I will pass these suggestions on to Clem who is coordinating our communications. Elain Harwood is already on our list. C20th Soc have been approached. Do you know Barnabus Calder?

I'm afraid I don't know Barnabas personally.

He's written on the Barbican and Golden Lane Estate (https://municipaldreams.wordpress.com/2016/04/25/new_books_on_bruta...) and been vocal recently about plans to demolish Dunelm House in Durham so might be able to help spread the word.

We've made contact. And I've ordered that book too :D

Afternoon,

Charles I have briefly spoken to, Mr Michael Howie, he is interested in Richard Cloudesley School site over development, deterioration of Golden Lane, zero social provision at ex-YMCA building sold to Redrow, zero social provision at ex Bernard Morgan House - sold to Taylor Wimpey, Roman House - zero social provision sold to Berkeley Group, Ex-City University offices at Frobisher Crescent - developed for private housing with no social provision, including forthcoming City elections. Before he meets/calls you, with a view do doing an article, please email him with full details:
