There is no cold water in Stanley Cohen House and we can't get through to anyone at the City of London to sort it out. It's been 24 hours now, and I have already incurred £70 call out fee for a plumber who couldn't do anything. When will the City of London sort out the emergency out of hours situation?

I had the same problem as did someone else I know in Stanley Cohen. She phoned the COL and the water company and the gas company and no one was of any help. Thankfully mine seems fine now.

Spoke too soon. Got in from work and it's gone again.

I have sent an email to Ian Dowsett and Laurence Jones as there is no emergency number left. No response. I have called the City of London main number 20 times today and they can't get hold of anyone who can do anything about it. I have even emailed John Barradell, the Town Clerk. No reply...

Hi Chester.  I am concerned to hear this.  We were told there is always an emergency out of hours number to call.  Some time ago. I also could not get hold of anyone to even answer the phone.  All there were was pre recorded messages telling people to contact another number, and when I did this, no success either.  There is a meeting on Tuesday, 4 November, where residents can raise issues of concern with City of London management, which you may already know about, so I think this should be raised.
