Hi

Perhaps I've been looking in the wrong place, but I can seem to find the minutes of the last meeting.

With regard to said meeting, it was agreed that a letter be sent to relevant CoL people detailing the concerns that were raised. Just wondered if the letter has been sent and if thare's been any reply.

Tks

Nick.

Hi Nick.  I am attending a Committee Meeting tonight, so if any other members have not seen your post, I will raise the issue for you.  Regards.

Hi Nick, again.  The minutes of the last meeting have yet to be done.  As per usual, all residents should receive them, attached to the Agenda for the next meeting, when they are sent out.

Thanks Maria.

I wonder in future if the minutes might be put on here - say a week or two afterwards - so people who weren't at the meeting can have a look and comment on anything that was brought up. Surely they can still be approved at the next meeting.

At present I think there's rather a lack of momentum.

And has the letter been sent.

Tks

Tks Stefi.
I raised the subject here because I'd sent an email to one of the CoL managers (who Id prefer not to identify) at the beginning of September and am still waiting for a reply (rather than just an acknowlegement).
As a number of people raised the subject of poor communication between said managers and residents at the GLERA meeting it would be good to get something sorted, particularly I think because in the Estate Newsletter (issue before last) we were told that the author was passionate about a number of things, which included communication. Cleanliness too, which in part concerned my email in the first place.

Hi Nick.

I will put your suggestion to Alison, and also ask about the letter.
Regarding the email you sent to a COL manager, they are fully aware that all emails have to be responded to, not just an acknowledgement, within a certain time.  If this is not happening, and your emails are not being answered, then you have the option of using the COL complaints procedure.  It is not acceptable when residents take the trouble to write with their concerns, only for them to be ignored.  Maybe, this can be discussed at the next residents' meeting in October?

I'm aware of the reply timeline re emails etc; however it seems that this isn't happening.

At the GLERA meeting this point was made by a number of people, including I think, the Treasurer who had only just received a reply from one of the managers following an issue brought up at the previous meeting. And then only by having to badger them.

Now, my recollection of the meeting might be incorrect - it was quite a while ago - which is why it's surely a sensible idea to put them on the GLERA site.

Perhaps I should ask if there's any reason they can't be put on here.

Unfortunately if we keep leaving things 'until the next meeting' this and other issues raised ain't going to be sorted. And I think that point was forcefully made at that meeting too...

Hi Nick.  If your emails are not being replied to, may I ask if you have sent another one to the person concerned, and asked why they have not replied?  I know that the Complaints Procedure is time consuming, and you should not have to do so, but am thinking of what else you can do right now.  I agree with you that its not always helpful to leave matters until the next meeting, but, in this case, there should be a member of management present, unlike the last meeting, and that person can be asked to address the issue.  They will have to then give assurances in front of other residents.  I know its frustrating, as have experienced this sort of thing myself.

As for the minutes being put on here, I have sent Alison, the Secretary an email about it, and will get back to you as soon as possible.  Please bear with me as am very new at being on the Committee.

Hi Stefi.  As I said to Nick, it is Alison, who is the Secretary, who does this.

Hi Maria, do you know who types up the minutes? It's just a case of copying and pasting them onto here...

Rather than use the complaints procedure I think it's far more constructive to funnel any issues through GLERA in an open and perhaps more constructive manner.

I look forward to Alison's reply and indeed any other comments, particularly from Committee Members...

Hi Stefi

the minutes from previous meetings are posted on the website already - not sure if you have seen this page:

http://www.goldenlaneestate.org/page/meeting-minutes

Maria said that the minutes from the last meeting are  not prepared yet. I think the minutes from the meeting before that - the AGM - are distributed just prior to the next AGM.
