As this site is fast filling up with tales of grim structural failures and sad stories of human woe, and considering that we are starting to be surrounded with ever more building redevelopment, I wondered whether we should have a huge party to celebrate the fact that we are alive and living in a great place ( all things considered)

I am off on Jury Service from Monday. When that's finished I will have a look and see if there is any interest in a party - I mean food, booze, music , dancing , fun for all.

See you all later some time

Sounds like a marvellous idea Christine.

Hi Christine.  I love a good party, and especially when it brings us all together.  The sad thing at the moment is that, in all the 25 years I have lived here, I have never seen so many disgruntled residents as I have now.  We have been let down badly by the CoL, who has allowed our once lovely Estate to begin to resemble a slum, and it almost looks like it is falling down around our ears.  The fact that we are all alive is nothing to do with the 'care' we have been given, but its in spite of what we have had to endure.  Maybe, if the Col actually woke up to their responsibilities, and did what they should do then that would be a reason to celebrate.  Unless, of course, they have other plans for the Estate, which I have heard rumours about!
