Hi allJust wondering - is it possible to rent a parking space for a few days?  I am moving out next month and wanted to be able to park my car for boxes etc and also to allow the removal van in.Also does anyone know who I would contact for letting the removal van in if i cannot rent a parking space?thanksMaireadSee More

Many Golden lane residents help to look after a neighbour, spouse, family member or friend who needs your support. The person may have eg a short-term or long-term health condition, disability, frailty, substance misuse or a mental health condition. Did you know items such as picking up shopping, being a listening ear, picking up prescriptions, taking a person to appointments, helping with meals/ paperwork etc all come under the banner of being a "carer". In 2014 the government passed the Care Act, in which you have certain rights that local councils, businesses and our City Corporation needs to meet. Most residents think of a carer as a paid carer worker in a blue uniform. Without realising, the term carer is for those who are caregiving not paid to do so. CoL has a contract with City Connections (since 2019) to meet the needs of City residents/City workers who also have a caring responsibility. Event Description

Working from books found within the Barbican Library collection, Emma Louise Hollaway explores the relationship between gender and drawing.  A lifelong member of the Barbican Library and a MA Drawing graduate from Wimbledon College of Arts, this exhibition combines her passion for reading and drawing.

The exhibition includes a reinterpretation of the Barbican Library’s legendary Crime Collection to reference the context and architecture of the Barbican Estate.

The exhibition is in the library and can be viewed during our opening hours.
