Event Description

The Golden baggers would like to invite GLE residents to join them on their annual trip. This year the outing is to Turn End, a beautiful house and garden created in the 1960’s by Peter and Margaret Aldington.

Visit their website for more details or see attached info sheet

In addition we will visit the local allotments (where we can have a picnic together) and newly established community orchard in the same village.

Travel will be by coach from the estate, leaving at 9.30 sharp. Depending on parking for the coach there may be a walk through the village of twenty minutes or so between the orchard and the allotments.  Please let us know of any particular accessibility requirements.

We will visit Turn End at 2.30pm; there will be a guided tour of the house and gardens and refreshments will be available. Children are welcome.

There will be 50 seats on the coach.  To secure a place on the trip, please pay a deposit of £5 per person to Anne Corbett. The deposit will be refunded on the day.

Anne will be collecting deposits in the allotments on the following dates:

Tuesday 20th March from 7pm to 7.30pm

Sunday 25th March 10.45am to 11.15am

Wednesday 28th March 7pm to 7.30pm

Wednesday 18th April 7pm to 7.30pm

Sunday 22nd April 10.45 to 11.15am

If you are passing you can also knock on Anne's door - 11 Basterfield House
