Event Description

Heroes of Postman's Park: The Secret History of the Watts Memorial 

Join the Friends of the Watts Memorial and Friends of City Gardens in an exclusive after-hours event in Postman's Park on Friday 13 May at 7.30 pm.

Dr John Price of Goldsmiths College, author of Heroes of Postman’s Park: Heroic Self-Sacrifice in Victorian London will be giving a guided tour and talk on the Watts Memorial. He will reveal the fascinating back stories of those who died so tragically saving others - and also talking about plans to complete the Memorial as George Frederick Watts originally intended. 

Standard Tickets £12 (including a complimentary glass of wine) 

Members of the Friends of City Gardens and the Friends of the Watts Memorial can purchase tickets at the reduced rate of £10.
