Electric meter reading

Would anyone know what is going on with the meter readings on the estate? a form was circulated so the staff would read the meters every month, but nothing seems to have happened. Would anyone have a key to the meter cupboard so I could take a reading? Thanks.See More

I also got a letter from community fibre but nothing about signing up yet. Never heard of them

I assumed they were officially endorsed by the City of London? Might book an appointment with them and see what they say about their service.

I had a note delivered about a couple of months ago

I had something through (GAH) but said no. Find my broadband speed fine in any case.

I ended up staying with BT, after managing to get a discount from them!

My BT has jumped up 17 pounds a month and over a month early. I will be contacting them and will be changing as I just can't afford what they are charging me. Along with community fibre I have also found this as well. Seems there are different companies vying for our money

When your contract ends with BT they automatically put the price up, but if you call them they will start a new discounted contract again, and I think if you have already paid any increase, they will credit it back to you.  It is always worth noting when your contract is due to end and contacting them a couple of months beforehand.

I have been with BT for a few years now and getting really fast speeds.

Thanks for the update.  I'm getting speeds of around 65 MBS from BT, which is ideal for my gaming and movie downloading, so glad I stayed with BT, after getting a discount......eventually!   Still not sure of what to make of Community Fibre?

Hi everyone,

Community Fibre here!

As clarification on the situation for our fibre coming to Golden Lane:

We are working with the City of London to bring full fibre (FTTH) to the estate and currently, you will not be able to order as we are not live but you can sign up and ensure you are one of the first to get connected via our website:

https://communityfibre.co.uk/

We are really excited to bring this new infrastructure to Golden Lane. Regrettably, only 3% of the country has access to such high-speed broadband but we are working to change that. That said, we hope you share our excitement for getting full fibre rolled out to your neighbourhood.

If you have any questions then please drop us an email at hello@communityfibre.co.uk.

Also, feel free to read our reviews on Trustpilot from our current customers here: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/communityfibre.co.uk

Community Fibre is a young company and based in Westminster so we appreciate you may not have heard of us but these reviews from our customers are the best testimonials.

All the best,

The Community Fibre team

I still don't know who these guys are. How can we suddenly have 2 very similar companies offering the same service on our estate. Anyone know?

Very confusing   Glad I stuck with BT, after getting a discount!
