Hi,

I was wondering if any of you planning to apply for an extension of the lease? My solicitor tells me that it's best to do it as a group to share the cost? If you consider extending your lease we should form a group and talk about it.

Hi Jalé,

That is a very good idea!

If you extend your lease with less than 80 years remaining there is a Marriage Value fee.

Lease extension calculators:

I was advised that there was no particular advantage in trying to do it collectively as the tasks that could be shared wouldn’t make much difference in cost. Could your solicitor put together some costs for a group?

Tim

Ok I’ll ask him and let you know.
