I used the person who has a poster up in the Estate Office. He came recommended by the Estate office - they told me that he used to have the contract to do the entire estate a few years ago.   He was very good - polite, reliable, efficient, good results.

I live in one of the Bayer/Basterfield type flats, and he managed to do all the windows to both the front and the back bedrooms, which was impressive. If you live on the top floor and have a skylight, he can do that too if you give him advance notice so he can borrow the key for the roof from the Estate Office.

Embarrassingly, I can't remember his name, but he is down in my phone as "Window Cleaner Man" on 07958451838.

The window cleaners name - on that mobile number - is Jason.  I havent used him as a window cleaner yet, though he's recommended by several other neighbours also.  I used him to take down and clean one of my blinds on the double height windows and he did a good job on that.

I have reduced the number of categories and changed the way in which items are listed. Let me know if this works for you.

Hi Roland.  Twice now I have been charged for a window cleaning service, but on both occasions none of my windows were cleaned.  I complained to the Estate Office, who informed me the window cleaners would be returning on a particular date, to clean any windows previously 'missed'!  Still, mine were not done.  Again, I complained, and asked for the contractor's phone number.  This was refused on the grounds it was 'not appropriate'!  I was even asked if I had been mistaken, and that my windows had been cleaned!!!  I was so angry, that a window cleaning manager called round.  He explained that he had given a full report to the Estate Office on all the windows it was possible to reach, and mine wasn't one of them!!!!   Mr Jacks claimed to know nothing about this!  I have now asked for a refund, and am waiting for a response!

It appears to be a case of incomptetence to me!!!!   What do you think?

Our windows were not cleaned in April and we were charged. We complained and they have eventually been done. We have been asking for this service for a number of years and am pleased it has at last been introduced. I agree the attention to detail and service could be better.
