Event Description

Following on from the success of last month's trip to Parkside Pick Your Own Farm in Enfield the Growbags to Gourmets group (for over 55s) will be going again this coming Thursday. We will be picking tomatoes and sweetcorn for the cookery class on Friday, although you are also welcome to pick whatever else you'd like for yourself.

Currently they have the following fruits and vegetables available for picking:

  • Blackberries - plenty of lovely fruit
  • Sweetcorn - wonderful supersweet crop!
  • Autumn Raspberries
  • Squashes - 4 varieties now ready "Green Kabocha", "Orange Kabocha", "Harlequin" & "Celebration"
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • French Beans
  • Courgettes
  • Marrows
  • Spinach/Chard
  • Onions - can now be stored for winter and attract quantity discounts off usual price of 89p/kg (ie 10% over 3 carrier bag-fulls or 20% over 6 carrier bag-fulls.)
  • Blackcurrants - still some left.
