Anyone up for campaigning for a total fibre network to be created throughout the City including housing estates. And to review the leases to allow homeworking.

Sorry to be 'dense' here Christine, but am not sure what this entails!  Can you give me more info.

Sounds an excellent idea Christine, but how likely are we to achieve it do you think?  Maria "dense".....who said that???

For sure Christine.  This subject has been mentioned on Barbican Talk as well.  I`ve just switched to BT Broadband.  After initial problems, it`s great now!

I did Steve!!  Am a computer idiot.

Oh it is very possible but unlikely because copper wire was here first and companies have vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Still we can dream.

Has anyone else's broadband gotten REALLY slow this week?

Are you with BT, like me Rachel?

Totally agree Christine.  ISP rep`s think nothing of lying to secure a deal!    Had a rep knock on my door 2/3 weeks ago, just after I signed up with BT.   The look on his face was priceless!

Mine only seems to be slow when I`m on Outlook, which is odd?   Currently getting 16.47mb download speed and 0.924mb upload speed.   That`s slightly down on what I was getting 2/3 weeks, but more than acceptable.

yes Rachel, slow, freezing so regular restarting

Just emailing mostly.   FB as well.   Seems to work ok on my games console ok.

Oh Heck!  My broadband is with Talk Talk!  As is my main line phone.  Methinks you out there think not a lot of them.  Any advice?

I'm with o2 broadband which has been purchased by sky and will change over by the end of this year. My broadband has definitely changed for the worse in the last few months

I moved from BT to talktalk four months ago for the same sevice at less than half the monthly cost of BT ,there was no migration costs and the speeds are exactly the same .The only problem i had was with BT customer services being rude refusing to acept i wanted to leave and twice deliberetly cutting off mid call as i refused not to cancel the contract disgusting attitude from BT
