Be aware there was a break in on Saturday night about 11.30 in a ground floor flat at Basterfield House. They smashed their way in through the front door while the tenent was upstairs who frightened them off and they got away on a scooter.

That's terrible Steve.  The poor person must have had a terrible shock.  Do they think they picked a flat at random?  What nasty people there are in the world.  Thanks for telling us.  My best to the poor tenant.  Hope they catch them.

Yeah he was OK though obviously a bit shaken. As for being picked at random, well they seemed know what to go after, that's the  trouble with the GF flats in Basterfield, Bayer and Bower they are open for people to look in throuh the windows so could have had a good look before hand.

Understand what you mean Steve.  Obviously, the ground floor flats on the Estate are open, as you say.  Am not surprised the poor person was shaken.  Am so thankful he is okay.  I hate those people who think they can behave like this towards decent people, in their homes.
