I s it just me, or has anyone noticed that the communal lighting in Crescent house and Cullum welch house has been lit 24 hours a day for the last two weeks, or do people not mind?

I sent an e-mail to ian.dowsett@cityoflondon.gov.uk yesterday, he is aware of it.

Hi Nathan.  Yes, I am aware of this, and it is certainly not acceptable.  I live on the top floor of Crescent House, and some time ago all the lights our end were not working, which could be dangerous in the dark.  I reported it one evening, and within 15 minutes, they were back on again.  Apparently, the sensus that automatically switched them on, was broken, but the lights could be operated manually.  Unfortunately, the next morning, instead of someone having the sense to switch them off during the day, to save energy, and money, they were left on all day.

I reported in the Comments book that this was ridiculous.  They were then switched off, including at night!  Can you believe it?  Eventually, they were repaired, so can now operate on their own.  As I have noticed, this is not the case on the lights you mention.  It is a disgrace that for all this time they have been left permanently on, when they could be operated manually until the problem is fixed.

After all, we, the residents have to pay for this.  Yes, the Energy companies must love the City of London!  Kerching!!!!!!!

Has any one noticed that the communal lighting has been off for the second night on the top floor of Crescent House?

Its pitch black
