I presume everyone is getting election leaflets from the candidates for Cripplegate.
Speaking personally it must be very hard putting together these ' vote for me' missives. Most of the leaflets seem to be full of the usual platitudes and vague generalities. Although one from a resident of Golden Lane is possibly the best I have ever seen.

I did note one candidate saying the City doesn't need a credit rating as it never borrows , whilst another talks of finding savings and other terms associated with austerity.

I haven't had anything from one of the Labour candidates although I know they were in my block and on my floor recently.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts regarding these election leaflets. Nothing personal and no polemics just any interesting points

Hi.  Yes, we have received loads of leaflets.  This appears to be the one time of year when we actually see the candidates!  I agree that the one from a resident of Golden Lane, a new candidate, is very good.  I also noticed that, whilst most candidates gave their contact details, ie phone and email addresses, at least one candidate did not.  This speaks volumes. I want to be represented by someone who really cares about what us residents think, and whom we can easily contact.

It would be great if the website moderator/s would upload the "election leaflets" for each of the Cripplegate Ward candidates.

Some residents have not received the candidates leaflets, and others with limited mobility may be house bound, without suitable transport they have not be able to attend ward meetings. This is where the City of London has again failed our fellow residents by not providing these residents with suitable transport, denying them the right to question all candidates in person at the Wardmote.

There will be a Wardmote on Wednesday 22 March at 7.30pm at:

The Barber-Surgeons Hall
Monkwell Square, EC2Y 5BL

Lets make all candidates profiles accessible to all residents, thanks.

I've had quite a few leaflets including one from one of the Labour candidates who's taken the trouble to knock on doors (including mine).

Good to have two strong candidates from Golden Lane.
