Five members of the GLERA committee and a small number of residents took part in a walkabout on 21st November 2019 with four common councillors - Sue Pearson, Mary Durcan, Mark Bostock and John Tomlinson. It was a large group of people which also included the estate manager, estate staff, City of London officers who work on major projects, City of London officers who work on repairs and the City of London officer who is conducting the cleaning review.

A report of the walkabout will be produced  (Dec 19?)by Ian Dowsett (estate staff) and we will share this on the GLERA website as soon as it is received. There were a number of issues and problems identified which require urgent attention. As GLERA members we asked questions and challenged officers about the quality of cleaning and repairs. In particular GLERA members stood firm on the issue of lighting failure on the top floor of Crescent House and asked that this was given urgent attention. The lighting had been out of action for two weeks and we insisted on an emergency repair on the day which was carried out.

We will let you know as soon as we receive the report which should list all the action points.

Hopefully more residents will join us for the next walkabout in early 2020.
