Free Swims for Residents

I called by the temporary sales office Fusion have set up on Goswell Road and the pool should open next month.

It will cost £3.60 for a swim for City residents.

There will be free swim sessions for Golden Lane residents on Sat and Sun in the last hour of opening, that is 5pm to 6pm. Proof of residence needed. The weekday free late swim sessions for residents will be discontinued.

Is there a brochure available yet of all the opening times, and facilities available etc?

As for showing proof of residence, are key fobs accepted?  I can hardly see us having to turn up with letters, tenancy agreements, leases etc, to prove we live here!

Also, does anyone know how long this sales office will be here, and what will take over?  Such a big space.  Hope it's something useful for us residents!

I can confirm that we will have a free swim on weekends from 5-6pm both days.

City Residents qualify for a swim price of £3.25 anytime, concessions £2.

Alternatively, we do have monthly memberships available, these arent subject to a lengthy contract, just 30 days notice is required should you wish to leave us.

We would only require proof of address on your first visit, where we will set you up on the correct pricing band on our system.

May I ask what the 'concessions' price of £2 applies to?  Is this for people over a certain age, or benefit related, at all?

Also, what does the monthly membership consist of?  Is this just for swimming, or other activities too?

Hi Maria,

 

Concession covers those over 60, students, people in receipt of benefit and those with disabilities.

 

Memberships can be taken out for just swimming or for the whole centre, we have options for anytime usage plus off peak.

 

Prices start at £15 per month with no lengthy contract

To Clarify, the free swim sessions are for over 60's only.

 

A rent letter will be fine, as I say, you only need it the once as we will upload you onto the system.

Well, that is interesting Roland.

I didn't know this.  I am not yet 60, nor am I a tenant!!!  Feel very left out! 

As this new complex still sits in our Estate, existing free residents swim should still apply.  If it does not, then it is clear that the City Corporation are more interested in their profit gain, than their residents!!!!

Do you have any idea how much it would be for a monthly swim membership?  Do you know if that will still be available aside of gym membership?

Hi All,

 

Residents pricing:

Monthly swim memberships are available at £35 per month or £27 per month for those qualifying for concessions.

Allowing swimming anytime.

Usage of the whole centre is £39 (discounted from £56)

Off peak membership available for Golden Lane, Middlesex St and Mansell St residents (09:00 - 12:00 & 14:00 - 17:00 Weekdays plus all day weekends) is £15 per month.

 

The decision regarding the free swims was made with the City of London and Fusion
