It is very frustrating, that despite notices on the security entrance doors to all the blocks, and residents being advised never to let people in whom they do not know, we are still getting endless pizza, curry, chinese leaflets through our front doors!  Why?  I cannot understand why any resident would let a stranger into their block.  Surely, it is not in the interests of good security, apart from seeing such leaflets littered all over the place.  Unfortunately, there have also been some thefts of residents' properties  from outside their homes, so allowing just anybody in does not help that situation either.  I am sure it must be only the minority who are not adhering to the security advice, so I hope they consider the block in which they live in the future.  One can only hope!

I'm not saying what block I'm in but the doors don't work.

I don't think it's a matter of letting people in. It's more a fact that the doors don't work in the first place.

I've had people banging on my door at 8.30 in the evening and I'm pretty sure i'm not expecting anyone.

I have procedures in place to deal with this(I may well get arrested) and I hope that is enough

Hi Shane.  Am sorry to hear that.  However, in our block, our doors do work, well at the moment they do, and the leaflet distributor told me this afternoon that somebody had let him in.  For any of the security doors not to work, especially for a prolonged period, is totally unacceptable.  What is the Estate Office's excuse for that?

As for your procedures, send me a message with the details, as I may find it useful.  Then we both might get arrested!!  Well, at least we will get noticed, even for the wrong reasons. Ha!!
