Event Description

Noticed this information has not found a means of easy dissemination in the City, we have offered to share today.

This is run by the Advocacy Project (see attached document).

For the first time the City and Hackney Mental health voice meeting is happening in a City venue, on Golden Lane estate.

Do you have Lived Experience of Mental Health conditions? or are looking after someone with a Mental health condition? If you are a City or Hackney resident with the experience the above are are invited to attend.

For more information contact Maureen: Maureen.brewster@advocacyproject.org.uk

MHVInformation.pdf For those unable to open PDF attached it states:

"Mental Health Voice
Mental Health Voice (MHV) is about people with lived experience of mental health issues, working to
shape and influence local mental health plans to create better services for local people in the boroughs of
City and Hackney. Service users are actively involved, attending regular monthly MHV committee meetings.
Meetings are held either in City or Hackney with invited speakers presenting, updating, and consulting on
local and national initiatives.

We work with City and Hackney mental health providers and commissioners and have representations at:
- The Mental Health Integrated Committee (MHIC) which coordinates mental health services across
health and social care, and East London NHS Foundation Trust.
- We work regularly with our statutory sector partners coproducing and facilitating workshops.

For further information or to join the MHV group contact Maureen Brewster, The Advocacy Project on
07934 298720 or e-mail Maureen.brewster@advocacyproject.org.uk"
