Anyone else having communication issues with the Estate Office? I currently am out of the country and they don't reply to emails. Currently going through a complaints procedure against them as they have cost me so much money the last few years. Would love some advice on how I can escalate complaints beyond the City doing their own investigation. Can I report them to any other type of organization?

Hello Chester.  I know how you feel.  I rarely get any replies to the emails I send to the Estate Office.  However, you firstly have to go through their own Complaints Procedure, before you can take it outside.  I did this when I was falsely accused by the City of being verbally abusive to one of their contractors.  I went through the City's official Complaints Procedure, but they failed to investigate the issue at all, and also failed to follow their own procedures, so I put in an official complaint to the following organisation, who are taking my case on:

Housing Ombudsman Service

PO Box 152

Liverpool  L337WQ

Tel:  0300 111 3000

info@housing-ombudsman.org.uk

I hope this helps.  They do have a large backlog of cases, so mine won't be heard just yet, but they have taken it on, which they would not do if my case was unjustified.  The City believe they are above the Law but they are not!
