For those wanting dates for diaries, the Wardmote or annual formal meeting of residents with their elected Members (the local Councillors and the Alderman) will be on Wednesday, 18 March at 7.30 in the evening. The venue will be the Barber-Surgeons Hall.

A less formal pre-meeting for Golden Lane residents has been fixed for 3 February at 7.30pm. The venue is the Community Hall (not the Ralph Perring Room).

There is no set agenda for the meeting next week,  - the aim is to enable you to meet your elected representatives so you can ask them questions about local issues or seek advice. We will gain a clear idea about your concerns, and to the extent we have information or opinions on these issues or can help to address them for you, we would hope to be of use to you.

Any news on Cripplegate Ward Club?  Is it defunct or dormant?

Cripplegate Ward Club is still alive and at times is even kicking too. The website is out of date but a new "webmaster" has been appointed, so this ought to change.

The next event is the AGM on 25 March (members only) and the Annual Civic Lunch that follows immediately after the AGM for members and guests. There are nearly 200 members, and this year there is a very full programme of events and outings following the appointment of the new Master which will happen at the AGM.

Let me know if you are interested in joining as the paperwork is very straightforward.

Iain,

I have just sent you an e-mail with details about membership. I assume you would like to join the Ward Club.

Best wishes,

David.

Many thanks.  My application sent to you by email today.
