Ikea Loft Bed

We have an Ikea Smastad loft bed to give away since our middle son has gone to uni. The bed looks like this https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/smastad-loft-bed-white-birch-with-desk-with-4-drawers-s59392138/ but without the wardrobe doors and with shelves instead. This loft bed has been through 2 children so it is well used. It forms a room divider at the moment and has stickers on the side…See More

"Thanks Tim.  I take your point about the difference in the money spent on a concert hall as opposed to the grant of £5000.  Yet, it still appears hypocritical to encourage gardening in community projects, when they don't…"

Tim Godsmark replied to Tim Godsmark's discussion Community Grants
"Hi Maria, The grants are coming from the City as part of the culture mile project. It is interesting that, while they are happy to spend £288 million + on a new concert hall, they are only giving a total of £5,000 to community…"

Communal Heating

Vernon, GLERA’s treasurer has been researching the proposed communal heating system for Crescent House and Cuthbert Harrowing and here are his thoughts:Today is the closing date for comments on the City's climate Action strategy and I still have not received a response from the Corporation on the amount of CO2 and NOx emissions coming from the EOn Citigen power station in the old Port of London building in Smithfield.  My best estimate is that it produces in excess of 30,000 tons of CO2 each…See More

Samsung photocopier/printer for sale

I am looking to sell a Samsung CLX-6220-FX colour laser A4 photocopier/printer which has become redundant in my office. It produces sharp good quality prints which generally have better colouration than domestic printers. There is an issue with the automatic document feed which needs servicing so I am open to offers.See More

Fusion Young at Heart Fee

I just noticed that Fusion have increased my Young at Heart membership fee from £3.60 per month to £10. i looked back and they had sent me an email which did not actually say that they were doing this but talked about online resources that they are providing during the lockdown. i realise that they will want to maximise income during the lockdown but it is not right to do this at the expense of older members of the community many of whom may not have online access to their bank accounts and…See More
